MBC Cleaning Ltd are a well-established commercial cleaning company that pride themselves on delivering a quality service with a personal yet professional approach. We have been trading since 2007 in London and the South East and have grown naturally year on year. MBC Cleaning Ltd form part of a group of companies also offering corporate security services, electrical, maintenance and project refurbishment.
We are looking for an honest and hard-working Cleaning Manager to deliver a high standard of cleaning to our Clients.
The role will include:
- Operational planning at contract level with responsibility for contract performance and monitoring. Head Office must be informed of any issues.
- Client interface. This will include listening to the clients, taking notes, advising the client when you hope to get back to them, investigating, solving issues if possible and reporting back to clients as promised, keeping Head Office and other staff/Directors informed as necessary.
- Conducting quality monitoring meetings with each client and completing the required documentation to be submitted to Head Office.
- Provision of operational support at contract level, ensuring that all operational requirements of the contracts are met. This includes the provision of cover cleaning operatives, often at very short notice and may require the Cleaning Manager to personally clean the site if cover cleaning operatives cannot be sourced
- Management of all directly employed staff including recruitment and selection, training, performance management and staff retention. Gathering and verifying documentation to confirm employee identity, address, and right to remain and work in the UK etc in accordance with the company procedures.
- Management of budgets in liaison with the Financial Controller and Managing Director.
- Collation and reporting of accurate hours and timesheets to ensure operatives are paid correctly and on time.
- Contact point for enquiries relating to sales, materials, equipment, administration, accounts, HR and payroll.
- Stock control - ensuring that sites have the correct levels of consumables, materials and equipment on site.
- Provision and maintenance of all company documentation to ensure the most up to date copies are available. This will include but is not limited to Health & Safety documentation, Environmental documentation, insurance certificate, COSHH data sheets and employee documentation.
- Carrying out risk assessments as required.
- Be aware of and proactive in following the Company policies and procedures.
- Attending new client site meetings, assisting with setup and provision of staff. Liaising with Head Office regarding TUPE transfer.
- Occasional tasks from the office at the discretion of the management and any additional ad-hoc duties as required.
- Informing the management of any staff welfare, health & safety or environmental issues that are causing concern.
- Ensuring that Head Office has the most up to date information on cleaning operatives.
- Undertaking various types of floor cleaning which includes carpet and hard floor cleaning using the appropriate equipment and chemicals.
- Dealing with any reactive cleaning request
- Carrying out deep cleans as per client request
We are looking for someone with the following attributes:
- 5 years’ previous experience within a similar role
- A positive hands on approach
- Multi tasker
- Excellent communication skills and client facing skills
- Organised, methodical and 'can do' approach
- Flexible in working hours
- Strong Leadership skills
- Maintain consistency under pressure
- Eye for detail
- Driving Licence
- Knowledge and experience of carpet and specialist floor cleaning.
- Applicant must have good verbal and written English and relevant Right to Work documentation.
Hours of Work:
45 Hours per week minimum – times as required due to various Business Contracts. May include weekends and bank holidays if necessary. Please note that many of our cleaning contracts operate outside of normal working hours. This will include early mornings, evenings and night work.
Company Vehicle:
Once the candidate has successfully passed their probation period the Company will provide the applicant with a Company van. You will be provided with a Company mobile phone when you start with us.
The Company run a commission scheme for any new sales brought to the business.
