Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and service generators for hire fleet.
- Carry out repairs on generators broken down on customer site, as required.
- Provide general assistance in the yard, including loading & offloading equipment.
- Drive a fork lift truck in the yard as required.
- Re-book into stock all generators delivered by 3rd party transport.
- Deliver & collect generators and ancillary equipment using appropriate company vehicles where required, including re-fuelling.
- Carry out duties on our company on call Rota system.
- Synchronise generators on site as required
- Comply with the Company Health & Safety Policy, including carrying out general housekeeping to ensure work areas are tidy. This includes company vehicles.
- Comply with all aspects of the company ISO 9001:2015 procedures, proactively contributing to the company’s continuous improvement programme.
Skills and Experience:
- A relevant qualification in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering / Diesel Fitting / Plant e.g. City & Guilds, BTEC NVQ or equivalent
- Or have served/completed an approved apprenticeship in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
- Or proven experience servicing diesel generators or the maintenance of plant machinery and engines
- Good fault-finding abilities and strong communication skills
- Forklift Truck Licence preferred
