Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Waiter/Waitress to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest service, ensuring a memorable dining experience for all patrons. This role offers an opportunity to work in a lively environment where attention to detail, efficiency, and excellent communication skills are essential. Previous experience in a restaurant setting is preferred. The position is fully paid and suitable for individuals passionate about the hospitality industry and dedicated to providing outstanding guest care.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide menus promptly
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are noted
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities while respecting guest preferences
- Ensure guest satisfaction by checking in during their meal and addressing any concerns promptly
- Handle payments accurately using the point-of-sale system and provide correct change or receipts
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, service stations, and dining areas throughout the shift
- Follow food safety protocols and hygiene standards at all times
- Assist with basic food preparation or setup when required, adhering to health regulations
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and smooth service flow
- Manage multiple tables efficiently through effective time management skills
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation techniques is desirable
- Familiarity with serving procedures, upselling techniques, and guest services enhances performance in this role
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanour to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests
