We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Bar Manager to support the smooth operation of our hospitality venue. Responsibilities
- Assist the Bar Manager in overseeing daily bar operations, ensuring efficient service delivery.
- Supervise and motivate bar staff, fostering a positive team environment and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Support in managing stock levels, ordering supplies, and maintaining inventory accuracy.
- Oversee food preparation and ensure compliance with food safety standards across all kitchen and bar areas.
- Assist with organising staff rotas, training programmes, and performance appraisals to optimise team productivity.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, including food safety protocols and hygiene standards.
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues promptly to maintain excellent service quality.
- Contribute to menu planning, including beverage selection and food pairing options, leveraging culinary experience where applicable.
- Support the implementation of promotional activities and special events to enhance customer engagement.
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment.
- Strong team management skills with the ability to lead by example.
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations.
- Experience in serving customers in a hospitality setting, including barista experience is desirable.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food production.
- Previous restaurant or hotel experience is advantageous.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
- Leadership qualities with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
