Job Description: Sous Chef - Live in Position
About Us: The New Inn is seeking a skilled full time Sous Chef to join our team and to develop our food / function menu, this position comes with accommodation, please only apply if you are interested in the role as you will be required to attend a phone and face to face interview.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure consistent, high-quality food preparation.
- Maintain kitchen safety, hygiene, and cleanliness.
- Assist in inventory management, stock rotation, and ordering.
- Delivering function menu for all our function bookings.
- Contribute to menu planning and the development of theme nights.
- Participate in monthly stock counts and manage kitchen staff.
- Foster a positive and collaborative kitchen environment.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef in a fresh food environment.
- Food Hygiene Level 2 certification.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Willingness to work weekends and under pressure.
- Commitment to quality and consistency.
