We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to support our culinary team in maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment. Duties
- Washing, cleaning, and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, and pans to uphold hygiene standards
- Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed by the kitchen staff
- Maintaining cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Supporting the organisation of kitchen equipment and supplies for efficient workflow
- Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures
- Restocking supplies and ensuring the kitchen remains tidy throughout service periods
- Supporting the team during busy periods by performing additional cleaning or preparatory tasks as needed
Skills
- Experience in food preparation or cooking is advantageous but not essential; willingness to learn is important
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or culinary environment is desirable
- Knowledge of kitchen safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
