The Dispute Service (TDS) operates statutory tenancy deposit schemes across the UK, including the Tenancy Deposit Scheme in England & Wales, SafeDeposits Scotland and TDS Northern Ireland, together with tenancy redress and ombudsman services.
We have an opportunity within our Compliance team to join them as a Disputes Credit Controller.
The role is a full-time permanent position that will be based at our TDS office in Hemel Hempstead. This role will follow our hybrid working policy with a minimum of 2 days per week in the office.
The salary for this role is £28,119 per annum.
Some of the key responsibilities include:
- Manage the collection of disputed deposits with minimal supervision.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date account records.
- Support the Head of Compliance, Receivables & Office Management with credit control activities.
- Liaise with internal departments and external providers to resolve queries.
- Update databases and systems in line with procedures.
- Process bank downloads, import receipts, and allocate payments in Salesforce and Sage 200.
- Run and reconcile weekly aged debtor reports.
- Process refunds and payment requests.
To be considered for this opportunity you must have:
- Previous experience in a Credit Control, Accounts Receivable, Finance Administration, or similar role.
- Strong numerical and reconciliation skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage workloads independently and prioritise tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills, with confidence handling queries by phone and email.
- Experience producing reports and maintaining accurate records.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
