We are expanding our surgical services and are looking to recruit an experienced Anaesthetist to join our team on a flexible, ad-hoc basis.
This role is ideal for an Anaesthetist who is looking to supplement their NHS or private practice with occasional sessions in a modern, well-equipped clinic.
There is no minimum commitment, and sessions are offered according to clinic demand and your availability.
Responsibilities
- Provide safe anaesthetic care for day-case surgical procedures.
- Assess patients pre-operatively and ensure they are fit for anaesthesia.
- Deliver conscious sedation where appropriate.
- Monitor patients throughout procedures and during recovery.
- Work closely with the surgeon, nursing team and clinic staff.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation.
- Ensure the highest standards of patient safety and clinical governance.
Essential requirements
- Full GMC registration with licence to practise.
- Entry on the GMC Specialist Register in Anaesthesia or equivalent senior anaesthetic experience.
- Current ALS certification.
- Professional indemnity insurance.
- Experience in day-case surgery.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to delivering outstanding patient care.
Desirable
- NHS Consultant or Specialty Doctor experience.
- Experience in cosmetic or plastic surgery.
- Experience in office-based anaesthesia.
- Ultrasound-guided regional anaesthesia skills.
