About the Role
We are a growing property management company based in Harold Wood and are looking for an organised, proactive, and professional Property Manager to take responsibility for a portfolio of residential properties across Barking & Dagenham, Redbridge, Havering, and Newham.
This is a hands-on role focused on day-to-day property management, tenant liaison, inspections, maintenance coordination, compliance monitoring, and delivering excellent customer service to landlords and tenants.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring properties are maintained to a high standard, compliance requirements are monitored, and issues are resolved efficiently and professionally.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine property inspections and prepare detailed reports
- Coordinate maintenance works, repairs, and contractor appointments
- Liaise with landlords, tenants, contractors, and local authorities
- Monitor property compliance requirements, including Gas Safety Certificates, EICRs, EPCs, landlord licensing requirements, and other statutory obligations
- Manage maintenance issues from initial report through to completion
- Ensure accurate property records are maintained within company systems
- Handle tenant enquiries and property-related matters professionally and efficiently
- Arrange access for inspections, contractors, compliance visits, and remedial works
- Obtain contractor quotations and monitor works through to completion
- Maintain high standards of customer service and communication
What We're Looking For
✅ Previous experience in residential property management
✅ Strong organisational and communication skills
✅ Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks effectively
✅ Proactive attitude with excellent attention to detail
✅ Confidence dealing with landlords, tenants, contractors, and local authorities
✅ Good IT skills including Microsoft Office and CRM systems
✅ Full UK Driving Licence and own vehicle
✅ ARLA Propertymark qualification, membership, or willingness to work towards an ARLA qualification would be advantageous but is not essential
