We are seeking an inspiring and proactive Lifestyles and Well-being Lead to join our dedicated care home team. In this rewarding role, you will oversee the planning, coordination, and delivery of a diverse programme of activities and events that promote the physical, emotional, and social well-being of our residents.
As the lead, you will work closely with residents, families, and colleagues to ensure our activities are engaging, inclusive, and tailored to individual interests and abilities. You will provide guidance and support to Lifestyles and Well-being Assistants, fostering a culture of participation and positivity throughout the home.
Your main responsibilities will include:

Designing, organising, and delivering a varied calendar of meaningful activities and events, both group and one-to-one, that support residents’ overall well-being.

Leading, training, and motivating the lifestyles team, ensuring high standards of engagement and care are maintained.

Working collaboratively with care and nursing staff to maximise resident involvement and enjoyment.

Encouraging and supporting residents to take part in activities, respecting their preferences and abilities at all times.

Building relationships with local organisations, entertainers, and volunteers to enhance our events programme.

Capturing and sharing positive stories and highlights from activities, in line with company privacy and consent policies.

Ensuring accurate record-keeping of participation and outcomes, using electronic care notes as required.

Seeking regular feedback from residents and relatives to continually improve and adapt our lifestyle offering.

Promoting the use of outdoor spaces and supporting trips out of the home where possible.

Maintaining confidentiality and safeguarding residents’ welfare at all times.

Previous experience in a similar activities, events, or care role, with experience of leading or supervising a team (desirable).

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a warm, approachable, and professional manner.

Creative, organised, and able to plan and deliver engaging activities for individuals and groups.

Confident in motivating and encouraging participation from residents with varying needs and abilities.

Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied workload.

Competent with basic IT for record-keeping, planning, and communication.

Empathetic, patient, and committed to promoting dignity, choice, and independence for all residents.

Flexible, reliable, and willing to support the wider care home team as needed.
