NJR Recruitment is delighted to be working with a well-established and highly regarded wealth management firm in Wakefield, who are looking to recruit an experienced Office Manager to join their team.
This is a varied and senior position, combining day-to-day management of the office and wider team with providing high-level PA support to the Director.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the business, taking ownership of office operations while supporting the Director across a range of commercial and administrative responsibilities.
The Role
As Office Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Overseeing the day-to-day running of the office
- Managing and supporting the wider team
- Coordinating workloads and ensuring key deadlines are met
- Providing leadership, guidance and support to team members
- Acting as a key point of contact for operational and office-related matters
- Managing office suppliers, facilities and general requirements
- Supporting the implementation and improvement of office processes
- Assisting with recruitment, onboarding and team development where required
- Ensuring the office maintains a professional and efficient working environment
PA Support to Director
Alongside the office management responsibilities, you will work closely with the Director, providing proactive PA and administrative support, including:
- Managing the Director's diary and appointments
- Coordinating meetings and preparing relevant documentation
- Managing correspondence and emails where appropriate
- Organising meetings and taking minutes/actions where required
- Assisting with business projects and ad-hoc tasks
- Helping the Director remain organised and focused on key priorities
- Handling confidential and commercially sensitive information with complete discretion
About You
We're looking for an experienced professional who understands the wealth management / financial planning environment and is confident managing both people and priorities.
Essential:
- Minimum 5 years' experience within wealth management / financial services
- Previous management or team leadership experience
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Confident managing multiple priorities and competing deadlines
- Professional and confident communication style
- Ability to work independently and take ownership
- High level of discretion when dealing with confidential information
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach
