Learning Support Assistants – Temporary | Full-Time & Part-Time
We are currently recruiting for Learning Support Assistants to support students at a college on a temporary, ongoing basis.
We have full-time and part-time shifts available, making this a great opportunity for candidates looking for consistent temporary work or more flexible hours.
The Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will support students throughout the college day, helping them access learning and develop their confidence, independence and skills.
The role may include:
- Supporting students in the classroom and during lessons
- Providing 1:1 and small-group support where required
- Supporting students with additional learning needs, including some SEN
- Helping students with their communication, behaviour and development
- Assisting teaching staff with day-to-day classroom activities
- Creating a positive and supportive learning environment
Requirements
- Previous experience working with students or young people is preferred
- Experience supporting students with additional needs or SEN is beneficial
- A patient, caring and supportive approach
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Candidates must be able to drive, as public transport links to the college are limited

- Temporary, ongoing work
- Full-time and part-time shifts available

- Previous experience working with SEN students is essential
- Experience supporting children with varying degrees of learning needs

- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- The ability to adapt support to individual children's needs
- Experience within a primary school or educational setting is highly desirable
