We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management, with a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and high-quality food production
- Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and leadership to ensure efficient team performance
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Assist in menu planning, development, and presentation to enhance customer satisfaction
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock control effectively
- Train new staff members in food preparation techniques, safety procedures, and service standards
- Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery during busy periods
- Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment at all times
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a culinary or kitchen supervisory role within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong skills in food preparation, cooking, and presentation
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience managing a team of kitchen staff
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene standards
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Familiarity with food production processes and menu development
- Previous experience in hospitality or serving roles is advantageous but not essential
- A recognised culinary qualification or equivalent experience is preferred
