Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Chef de Partie to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality dishes, ensuring the smooth operation of their designated section within the kitchen. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with menu specifications and quality standards
- Oversee and manage a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring efficient workflow and organisation
- Assist in the development of new recipes and menu items, maintaining consistency and creativity
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly adhered to at all times
- Monitor stock levels within your section, placing orders as necessary to ensure availability of ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of your workstation, including equipment and utensils
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods
- Support junior kitchen staff through training and guidance as required
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and meal presentation within a professional kitchen environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Good understanding of culinary techniques across various cuisines
- Ability to work as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and a positive attitude
- Prior restaurant or hospitality experience is highly desirable
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with front-of-house staff and colleagues
