We are looking for an experienced painter to join our manufacturing facility in Hoyland, Barnsley
- Position type: Full time - Monday to Friday - 6:00 to 13:30 - 35 hours per week (30 mins unpaid lunch) , some flexibility, Bank Holidays off
In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for preparing metal surfaces and applying high-quality coatings using electrostatic spray gun equipment. You'll work to tight production deadlines while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare metal surfaces through cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming
- Apply paint coatings (single and 2-pack isocyanate) using Wagner electrostatic spray guns in line with product specifications
- Inspect painted products to ensure finishes meet company quality standards
- Maintain and clean painting equipment and spray booths for optimal operation
- Safely handle and store hazardous materials in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Work to production schedules while maintaining attention to detail and finish
- Maintain accurate records of materials used and completed jobs
- Operate overhead cranes and slinging equipment to safely move components
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient workflow across departments
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in industrial painting, preferably using electrostatic systems & air fed equipment
- Knowledge of surface preparation techniques and quality control standards
- Familiarity with safe handling of paints and hazardous substances
- Overhead Crane Operator Licence
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
