Based in Driffield, East Yorkshire, Barker Electrical group is a professional and highly regarded electrical contractor specialising in agricultural, commercial, and domestic projects. Most of our work is across Yorkshire, though we occasionally take on projects further afield. We are a small, close-knit team that takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and exceptional service to every client. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a skilled and motivated Qualified Electrician to join us.
The Role
You will be carrying out a varied range of electrical work across all three of our core sectors, including:
- Agricultural installations, including full shed wiring, ventilation and feed systems, grain store and dryer controls, livestock housing and lighting, water pump and borehole supplies, three-phase machinery wiring, standby generator hook-ups, and rural power distribution
- Commercial fit-outs, maintenance, and testing
- Domestic installations, rewires, consumer unit upgrades, and fault finding
- Periodic inspection and testing (EICR)
- Liaising professionally with clients on-site
- EV charge point installations (domestic and commercial)
- Solar PV installations, battery storage, and renewables

What We’re Looking For
- City & Guilds 2382 (18th Edition Wiring Regulations) or equivalent
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrotechnical Technology (or equivalent qualification)
- Experience across domestic, commercial, or agricultural electrical work
- Ability to carry out inspection and testing (2391 or equivalent preferred)
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong communication skills and a professional, can-do attitude
- ECS/CSCS card (desirable but not essential)
Pay: £18.00-£22.00 per hour
