Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and experienced van driver to join our team delivering car parts in and around the local area. This role requires strong driving skills, excellent communication, and the ability to handle physical tasks associated with warehouse operations.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate SWB vans, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Load and unload electric bikes and scooters, ensuring items are secured properly for transit.
- Plan delivery routes effectively to optimise efficiency and punctuality.
- Communicate clearly with clients and team members regarding delivery schedules or any issues encountered during routes.
- Assist with warehouse tasks such as organising stock, heavy lifting, and inventory management.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times during deliveries and warehouse activities.
Experience
- Proven delivery driver experience, preferably with commercial driving background.
- Experience in warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members.
- Knowledge of local routes and traffic regulations is preferred. This role is ideal for organised individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments, prioritise safety, and possess excellent driving skills combined with physical stamina.
Pay: £14.00 per hour
