Bracebridge Children's Services is looking for compassionate, dedicated and resilient Children's Residential Care Workers to join our home in Rugeley, supporting our Staffordshire contract.

About the Role
As a Children's Residential Care Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting children and young people in their daily lives, ensuring they feel safe, valued and encouraged to reach their full potential.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing high-quality, child-centred care and support.
- Building positive, trusting relationships with children and young people.
- Promoting emotional wellbeing, resilience, independence and positive outcomes.
- Supporting children with daily routines, education, appointments, activities and life skills.
- Safeguarding children and promoting their welfare at all times.
- Working closely with colleagues and external professionals to deliver outstanding care.
- Completing clear, accurate and timely documentation to a high standard.
As part of the role, you will also be responsible for completing and maintaining essential paperwork, including:
- Risk assessments.
- Care plan and placement plan reviews and updates.
- Daily records, incident reports and key work sessions.
- Behaviour monitoring and progress records.
- Reports for meetings and professionals where required.
All documentation must be completed accurately and in line with Ofsted regulations, Quality Standards, statutory guidance and Bracebridge Children's Services policies and procedures. High-quality record keeping is an essential part of ensuring children receive safe, consistent and effective care.
Shift Pattern
This role follows a long shift pattern:
- 10:30am – 11:00pm
- Sleep-in
- 7:30am – 10:30am (handover the following morning)
This operates on a 1 day on, 2 days off rota, offering an excellent work-life balance.
What We're Looking For
Essential requirements:
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent), or a willingness to work towards the qualification.
- Passion for improving the lives of children and young people.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence (Automatic or Manual)
- A caring, resilient and positive attitude.
- The right to work in the UK.

- We do not offer sponsorship for this role. Applicants must already have the legal right to work in the UK.
- An Enhanced DBS check, including a Children's Barred List check, is required for this position.
