Barista / All-Rounder
YOT – Heswall
We’re looking for a Barista / All-Rounder to join the YOT team!
YOT is a unique, outdoor-focused café in Heswall, serving great coffee, delicious food and bringing a little bit of coastal holiday feeling to the area. We’re a busy, friendly and slightly chaotic team (in the best possible way!) and we’re looking for someone who can jump in, get stuck in and have fun with us.
The important bit – weekday availability
You MUST be available to work weekdays and weekends. This is really important to us, as our weekday shifts are a key part of the role. We’re looking for someone who can commit to regular weekday shifts and isn’t only looking for weekend work.
What you’ll be doing
- Making consistently great coffee and speciality drinks
- Taking orders and providing friendly, welcoming customer service
- Preparing and serving food
- Keeping the café, outdoor areas and workspaces clean and organised
- Helping with opening and closing duties
- Supporting the wider team wherever needed
- Getting involved in new menu ideas, drinks and specials
- Helping create a fun and positive atmosphere for our customers
- Supporting events and private hire when required
- Being happy to get stuck into whatever the day throws at you!
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Friendly, confident and approachable
- Passionate about great coffee and hospitality
- Comfortable working in a busy environment
- A team player who is happy to muck in
- Reliable and punctual
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Confident talking to customers and building relationships
- Creative and willing to bring ideas to the table
- Available to work weekdays on a regular basis plus weekends
Barista experience is preferred, but personality, attitude and a genuine love of hospitality are just as important to us. We can teach skills — we can’t teach someone to care!

Pay: £8.00-£12.71 per hour
