About the Role
Starley Hall is seeking a compassionate and resilient Residential Wakened Night Child Care Worker to support children and young people aged 10–21 with complex emotional, behavioural and learning needs.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality overnight care, promote safety and wellbeing, build positive relationships, and support young people to achieve positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide nurturing, child-centred care during night shifts.
- Ensure the safety, welfare and protection of young people.
- Maintain accurate records, reports and care plans.
- Act as a key worker and contribute to support planning.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, families and professionals.
- Promote positive relationships, participation and personal development.
- Attend team meetings and contribute to service improvement.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience working with children or young people with additional needs or vulnerabilities.
- Is caring, resilient, flexible and committed to making a difference.
- Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Understands trauma-informed and child-centred practice.
- Holds, or is willing to work towards, an SVQ Level 3/HNC in Social Care.
Minimum requirement: 1 year of childcare experience.

Pay: £27,976.00-£28,600.00 per year
