Stock Controller £30,000 Crawley
We are proud to be working in partnership with Espresso Solutions, one of the leading names in the coffee industry, bringing the world's best barista brands and services to their customers. We're looking for a Stock Controller to join the warehouse team in Crawley and take ownership of inventory accuracy across the operation.
This is a hands-on role covering cycle counts, annual stock takes, kit assembly and returns processing, working closely with the Warehouse Manager and teams across the business.
Responsibilities
- Maintain high levels of inventory accuracy through regular monitoring and reconciliation of stock records
- Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies, carrying out root cause analysis to prevent recurrence
- Accurately record all stock movements within the ERP system
- Manage serial numbers and batch expiry dates
- Plan, coordinate and execute cycle counts across the stock holding, analysing results and reconciling variances
- Lead annual stock take activities end to end, including schedules, documentation and resource planning
- Manage inventory for kit assembly, working with customer support to ensure stock is available ahead of need
- Monitor and process returns and warranty items in a timely manner
- Identify opportunities to improve stock control processes and warehouse efficiency using heat map and ABC analysis
Requirements
- Previous experience in stock control, inventory or a warehouse environment
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles
- Experience conducting cycle counts and stock investigations
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and/or ERP systems
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Competent in Microsoft Excel and the wider Office suite
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Experience supporting audits and annual stock takes
Desirable
- Experience within logistics, distribution or e-commerce
- Forklift licence or warehouse equipment certification (Reach truck, HLOP)
