Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Joiner/Carpenter to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing a variety of structures and fixtures, ensuring high standards of craftsmanship and safety. Responsibilities
- Fabricate and assemble timber components using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment
- Install joinery, cabinetry, flooring, roofing frameworks, and other structural elements on-site or in workshops
- Measure accurately and cut materials to specified dimensions in accordance with project plans
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and components safely and efficiently
- Conduct construction painting, plumbing tasks, masonry work, and electrical installations as required
- Collaborate with other trades such as roofing specialists, electricians, plumbers, and masons to ensure seamless project progression
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment while adhering to health and safety regulations
- Read technical drawings and blueprints to interpret project requirements effectively
Experience
- Proven experience in carpentry, joinery, or related construction trades
- Skilled in fabrication, assembly, and installation using hand tools and power tools
- Knowledge of roofing techniques, masonry work, plumbing systems, electrical wiring, and construction painting is desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently on-site
- Experience working on residential or commercial projects is preferred
- Familiarity with health & safety standards within the construction industry
