Working closely with the Head Chef, you will play a key role in delivering beautifully executed dishes that celebrate the very best seasonal and locally sourced produce. About the Role
As Sous Chef, you will:
- Support the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen.
- Help develop seasonal menus showcasing the finest ingredients.
- Maintain exceptional food quality and presentation.
- Lead and motivate the kitchen team in the Head Chef's absence.
- Ensure the highest standards of food safety, cleanliness, and organisation.
- Assist with stock control, ordering, and minimising waste.
- Mentor junior chefs and contribute to a positive, professional kitchen culture.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience as a Junior Sous Chef or Sous Chef in a quality restaurant.
- A genuine passion for seasonal, locally sourced produce.
- Strong technical cooking skills and attention to detail.
- Calm leadership and the ability to perform under pressure.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and desire to continually develop.
