The Fine Cheese Co. is an artisan cheese business dedicated to sourcing, maturing, and supplying the finest cheeses from the UK and Europe. We are looking for a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative to join our team, helping to ensure our customers receive their orders accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming goods, inspect for quality and accuracy, complete all relevant documentation, and promptly book stock into the system.
- Accurately pick and pack customer orders to meet business and customer requirements.
- Store goods correctly in the warehouse, ensuring proper segregation, stock rotation, and adherence to food safety or quality standards.
- Use handheld devices and warehouse systems to manage short-dated, quarantined, and out-of-date stock, ensuring timely action.
- Prepare and load vehicles for dispatch, ensuring all goods are correctly handled and all associated paperwork is complete.
- Identify discrepancies, damages, or operational issues and escalate them promptly to management.
- Operate internal systems in line with departmental procedures to maintain accurate records and efficient processes.
- Safely operate forklift trucks and other lifting equipment in accordance with training and regulations.
- Drive company vehicles when required to support stock transfers between sites and carry out deliveries or collections.
Requirements:
· Full UK driving licence.
· Forklift licence- Essential
