Care Assistant (Bank and Flexible Hours)Job Summary

We are looking for compassionate, reliable and dedicated Care Assistants to join our expanding team on a bank and flexible-hours basis. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about making a positive difference in people's lives while enjoying flexible working arrangements.
As our business continues to grow and secure new care packages and contracts, there will be opportunities for additional hours and career progression for suitable candidates.
Areas covered include Slough, Datchet, Windsor, Hillingdon, Hayes, Southall, Hounslow, Ealing, Harrow, Uxbridge and surrounding areas.
Pay
£14.50 to £17.50 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications and the type of care provided.

Responsibilities
As a Care Assistant, you will:
- Deliver high-quality, person-centred care in accordance with each client's care plan.
- Support clients with personal care, including washing, bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting.
- Assist clients with mobility and transfers using safe moving and handling techniques.
- Support clients with meal preparation, eating and drinking.
- Prompt or assist with medication in accordance with company policies and care plans.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce loneliness and improve wellbeing.
- Help clients remain as independent as possible while respecting their dignity, privacy and choices.
- Assist with light household duties, including cleaning, laundry and shopping where required.
- Support clients to attend appointments and participate in community activities.
- Observe and report any changes in clients' physical or emotional wellbeing.
- Maintain accurate and timely care records using company systems.
- Communicate professionally with clients, families, colleagues and healthcare professionals.
- Follow safeguarding procedures and report any concerns immediately.
- Comply with all company policies, Care Quality Commission standards, health and safety requirements and infection prevention procedures.
- Travel between clients' homes within your allocated working area.
Essential Requirements

- Willingness to provide personal care.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Basic information technology skills for completing care records.
- Legal right to work in the United Kingdom.
- Willingness to undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
Desirable Requirements
- Previous experience in domiciliary care, residential care, supported living or healthcare.
- Care Certificate.
- Level 2 or Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care.
- Experience supporting people living with dementia.
- Experience supporting people with learning disabilities or physical disabilities.
- Full United Kingdom driving licence.
- Access to a reliable vehicle.

Working Hours
This is a bank and flexible-hours position.
Working hours will depend on client needs and your availability. Shifts may include:
- Morning shifts
- Afternoon shifts
- Evening shifts
- Weekend shifts
- Bank holidays
Additional hours may become available as the business continues to grow.
