Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Cleaner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards across various commercial premises. This role offers flexible hours suitable for individuals seeking part-time employment, with an emphasis on delivering high-quality cleaning services in a professional environment.
This is a part-time evening position, Sunday - Thursday, 3.5 hours a day 6:30pm to 10pm.
Overtime may be required following an evening or weekend event and to cover annual leave. Prior experience in janitorial or commercial cleaning is essential.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitising surfaces in commercial settings
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, and common areas to meet health and safety standards
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap dispensers, and toilet rolls as needed
- Washing cloths, tea towels and tablecloths.
- Stock checking cleaning products and liaising with the Facilities Manager to ensure stock is ordered.
- Use appropriate cleaning agents and equipment efficiently and safely
- Ensure all assigned areas are kept tidy and organised throughout the shift
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards to management promptly
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times during cleaning procedures
Requirements
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work is essential
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Reliable with a good work ethic and punctuality
- Physical ability to perform cleaning duties, including standing for extended periods and lifting light equipment or supplies
- Flexibility to work part-time hours as scheduled.
