Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanic/Bodyshop MET to join our professional team. This role involves stripping and refitting on a variety of vehicles within our busy bodyshop. The ideal candidate will possess mechanical knowledge, experience with hand and power tools, and the physical capability for lifting. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about vehicle repair and bodywork to develop their skills within a reputable organisation with the availability to qualify in MET.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles, including mechanical and bodywork tasks
- Use hand tools and power tools to dismantle, repair, and reassemble vehicle components accurately using the technical data available
- Assist with vehicle diagnostics to identify accident related faults
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace to promote safety and efficiency
- Collaborate with team members to complete repairs within specified timeframes
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems and components
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers
- Experience with power tools
- Ability to perform lifting safely and effectively during repairs or parts handling
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience in a bodyshop or garage required
