Nene Valley Day Nursery is looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join our friendly team. We are committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and inspiring environment where children can learn, grow, and reach their full potential.
As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play an important role in delivering high-quality early years education and care while building positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a safe, caring, and stimulating environment for all children.
- Plan and deliver engaging activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- Observe, assess, and record children's learning and development.
- Support each child's individual needs, interests, and stages of development.
- Promote children's wellbeing, independence, and confidence.
- Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are always followed.
- Build positive partnerships with parents and carers, sharing information about children's progress.
- Work effectively as part of a supportive team.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to children's learning journeys.
- Follow nursery policies and procedures to ensure high standards of care and education.
- Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion throughout the nursery.
Essential Requirements
- Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification.
- Previous experience working in an early years setting.
- Good knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
- Current Paediatric First Aid Certificate.
- Experience working with children with additional needs (SEND).
- Food Hygiene Level 2.
- Safeguarding and Prevent Duty training.
- Behaviour Management training.
Pay: £24,750.00-£28,000.00 per year
