We are currently looking to recruit a Maintenance Operative to join our friendly team. We are looking for someone who has hands-on skill to plan for the safety of the building.

About the role
- To undertake a range of general repairs and building/grounds maintenance.
- To proactively identify areas or items in need of repair in a timely manner.
- To be responsible for maintaining the building and grounds in line with health and safety requirements.
- Driving clients to appointments.
- Transporting goods to and from local surgeries.
- Monthly Audits - temperature, electrical, etc.
Basic Duties
- Drywall/plaster repair and painting
- Furniture assembly and relocation
- Changing lights and/or fixtures
- Plumbing repairs, replacements, installation
- Carpentry repairs and installations (doors, shelves, countertops)
- Minor repair of electrical devices and PAT testing
- Facilities safety inspections
- Grounds and security maintenance (fencing, gate arms and gates)
Expectations
- Maintain tools and equipment in clean, safe, working order
- Adhere to all safety requirements and wear proper Personal Protective Equipment
- Respond to emergency situations to ensure employee and facility safety
About you
- Ideally you will have a trade qualification and/or a general understanding of maintenance duties.
- Experience of working within a similar environment would be beneficial but not essential.
- You must have a full clean driving licence.
- Adept computer skills to lead and maintain monthly, annual or any other audits.
Please note that an enhanced DBS check will be required due to the nature of this post.
