Uplift Driver – 417 Mountain Bike Park
(Zero Hours Contract)
We are currently recruiting seasonal Uplift Drivers to join our team at the 417 Mountain Bike Park. We are looking for drivers to cover the school holidays, holidays and weekends on a zero hour contract.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment, helping riders make the most of their day on the trails.
About Flyup
Flyup was founded in May 2010 by husband-and-wife team Simon and Angela Ruskin. The idea came after Simon, a keen downhill rider, returned from a mountain biking holiday in France and realised how much valuable riding time was spent pushing uphill rather than riding.
They launched their first uplift service at Cannop Cycle Centre in the Forest of Dean, helping to firmly put the venue on the downhill map.
In 2013, the opportunity arose to purchase and develop a 100-acre farm on Crickley Hill in Gloucestershire. This became the 417 Bike Park, now the largest privately owned mountain bike facility in England, offering a wide range of riding disciplines all in one venue.
The Role
You will be responsible for transporting customers and their bikes to the top of the trails using a minibus and trailer. The role also includes:
- Assisting customers with loading bikes onto the trailer
- Ensuring bikes are safely and securely fastened (full training provided)
- Delivering excellent customer service and creating a positive experience for all riders
About You
The ideal candidate will:
- Enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Be friendly, approachable, and confident interacting with customers
- Be physically fit and comfortable with manual handling and lifting
- Have strong customer service skills
Working Hours
- Saturdays/ Sundays; and Gloucestershire school holidays
- 9:30am – 4:30pm
- Zero hours contract
Pay & Contract
- Part-time, Permanent position
Requirements
- Full, clean UK driving licence
- Comfortable with manual labour and working outdoors
