This is a 10 PA locum appointment for a locum consultant oncologist with special interests in lung and breast. Cancers: This post will be available from September 2026 for a period of 12 months.
This post will deliver 8 PAs supporting the non-surgical oncology lung team led by Dr Katy Clarke (supported by Dr Kevin Franks, Dr Pooja Bhatnagar, Dr Peter Dickinson, Dr Mark Teo, Dr Laura Jacques, Dr Fei Sun, Dr Bilal Razzaq, and Dr Andrew Kidd) and the breast team working alongside David Jackson, Professor Chris Twelves, Professor Galina Velikova, Dr Emma Thomas, Dr Andrew Viggars, Dr Kallol Bhadra, Dr Richard Heywood, and Dr Hira Yousuf, and by speciality doctors Dr Indu Chaudhuri and Dr Keren O’Connor. There will be opportunities to contribute to MDT and departmental meetings. The post-holder will support a 1:26 on-call
The post will be based within the Leeds Cancer Centre, Bexley Wing, St James University Hospital and Bradford Teaching Hospital Foundation Trust.
The successful applicant should hold accreditation in clinical oncology in the Royal College of Radiologists or equivalent and should be on the specialist register or within six months of being admitted to the register for trainees if currently in a training programme within the UK or have references which have been authorised by the deputy medical director and clinical director.
Applicants should have established skills in clinical oncology. Excellent communication and teamwork skills and a strong commitment to teaching and service development are essential.
