DriveStaff Recruitment is recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for ongoing night trunking work based in Rochdale.
This is a great opportunity for drivers looking for regular Monday to Friday work, consistent start times and straightforward trunking rather than multidrop deliveries.
We are looking for reliable drivers who want to settle into a regular ongoing assignment with a busy transport operation.
PAY & SHIFTS
£18.50 per hour PAYE – holiday pay included
The work consists of:
- Monday to Friday
- Night trunking
- Start times between 16:30 and 19:00
- Regular ongoing work
- Weekly PAYE pay
- Consistent weekly shifts
- Long-term opportunities

THE ROLE
You'll be carrying out Class 1 trunking runs from the client's Rochdale depot.
Typical duties include:
- Class 1 night trunking
- Depot-to-depot deliveries
- Driving modern, well-maintained vehicles
- Completing daily vehicle checks
- Completing paperwork accurately
- Ensuring loads are transported safely and securely
- Working within Drivers' Hours and Working Time regulations
- Maintaining a professional standard when representing the client
This is primarily straightforward trunking work, making it ideal for drivers who prefer regular depot-to-depot runs.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
To be considered, you must have:
- Valid UK Class 1 / Category C+E licence
- Minimum 12 months' Class 1 driving experience
- Valid Driver CPC
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Maximum 6 penalty points
- No DD, DR or IN convictions
- Good understanding of Drivers' Hours and Working Time regulations
- Reliable and professional attitude
- Good communication skills
