We are a small care home looking for a cook to work full time hours including alternate weekends.

Responsibilities
· Prepare and cook a well-balanced, nutritious diet within a controlled hygienic environment
· Prepare and cook breakfast, lunch, dinner, and daily snacks
· Present meals in a visually aesthetic manner
· Prepare appropriate meals for any residents on specialised diets (i.e. pureed food)
·Health & Safety requirements with particular regard to maintain a high standard of hygiene at all times in accordance with the appropriate Food Hygiene Regulations and company policy
· Experiment with recipes and suggest new ingredients
· Ordering of supplies
· To maintain varied menus. There is scope to be creative using fresh ingredients sourced locally.
· To be aware of the Resident's needs and dietary preferences.
A cooking qualification and Food Hygiene Certificate is preferred but not essential as there will be opportunities for further training and development. Previous experience would also be preferred.
