HGV Driver – Waste & Recycling - Class 1 and 2
Location: Corby
Salary: £16.00 per hour
Hours: Monday–Friday /Occasional Saturdays
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and experienced HGV Driver to join our waste and recycling operations. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient collection, transport, and disposal of waste materials while delivering excellent service to our customers.
This is a hands-on role suited to drivers who are safety-focused, professional, and comfortable working within the waste industry environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate HGV vehicles safely and legally (skips, RCVs, Trade waste collections, Artic, or RoRo units)
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and defect reporting
- Collect and tip waste and recyclable materials at designated sites
- Complete all paperwork and digital records accurately
- Adhere to health & safety, environmental, and road traffic regulations
- Maintain a professional and courteous approach with customers and colleagues
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) or Class 2 (C) licence
- Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous waste industry experience (preferred but not essential)
- Good knowledge of UK driving regulations
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to work early starts and outdoor conditions
