The Role:
We are seeking full-time Data Analysts with strong public sector experience to work in a small team alongside client staff. Most work will be performed from home, however there will be occasional work on client site (London). The core working hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm. Please note that due to the nature of our work, successful applicants will be subject to UK Security Clearance checks.
Ideal candidates will specialise, or have proven experience in one or more of the following capability areas:
· Work closely with end users, stakeholders, and technical teams to gather requirements and validate outcomes.
· Data analysis and interpretation of complex structures to support successful data migration projects.
· Design, document and deliver data mapping specifications aligned to business and technical requirements.
· Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency throughout the migration process.
· Identify risks, issues, and opportunities for process improvement during data migration activities.
· Produce clear documentation and reporting to support project governance and audit requirements.
· Experience in system integration and large-scale transformation programmes.
· Knowledge of information governance, data security, and compliance requirements within the public sector.
· Design, document, and deliver data mapping specifications aligned to business and technical requirements.
The role will require:
· Proven experience in data mapping and data migration projects, data reporting and data analysis (ideally in a public sector, but this is not essential).
· Experience working with law enforcement or criminal justice organisations is highly desirable.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
· Ability to engage with end users effectively and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
· Proficiency in relevant data tools, databases and query languages (SQL, ETL tools)
Regarding knowledge, skills and expertise, we require:
· Excellent verbal communication skills, to confidently and articulately present virtually and in person to clients; immediately creating positive impressions and establishing rapport.
· Strong documentation ability and written communication skills
· Experienced user of JIRA or similar
· Must be a team-player. Working with and supporting colleagues is a critical success factor for employment at AllThorpe.
· A proactive, energised and ambitious attitude is vital
· 3 years’ experience minimum in a Data Analyst role (ideally within the public sector).
· Educated to a minimum of A’Levels and some form of relevant further education or hands on experience.
Salary:
The salary for this role will be determined by level of experience within the range of £45,000 - £65,000.
There is also the option to work as a subcontractor for a day rate of £350-£500 dependent on experience.
Start Date & Interview Process:
Screening interviews will take place via a 20-minute Teams call with the Managing Partner. Successful shortlisting will then be followed by a competency interview of 30 minutes. There may be a final face-to-face meeting with one of the management team to ensure you have every opportunity to ensure a good fit.
