Role purpose
The Business Development department are looking for a team manager to lead and support our primary care and dental business development teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team in managing the recruitment and retention of our primary care and dental members. Working closely with the dedicated sector teams in marketing you will ensure we provide an integrated multi-channel experience to members ensuring they are served in the most effective and efficient way.
Role responsibilities
1. Lead and manage the team to meet challenging targets across business recruitment/retention to maximise business growth opportunities
2. Manage the performance and activity of the field based PCLM and dental teams.
3. Deliver recruitment and retention results in line with/ahead of agreed targets.
4. Build and maintain trusted relationships with key stakeholders, collaborating internally to clearly communicate member insights and feedback to relevant stakeholders.
Relevant experience

Be able to demonstrate considerable knowledge and understanding of the medical and dental markets, our members, products, services and the changing marketplace

Proven experience within a business development/sales environment and be familiar with the expectations within which we operate. You will lead your team from the front, leading by example in all aspects of work and employment.

Solid understanding of business processes (CRM, sales, marketing, and other business areas).

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills along with a natural friendly, engaging and helpful personality but be able to deliver difficult messages when needed as well as having the ability to influence others and resolve conflicts.

Experience delivering presentations to a variety of audiences.

Previous experience of staff management or supervising a team would be an advantage.
