Our Client is opening a brand-new therapeutic assessment home and looking for a Senior Residential Support Worker to help shape its culture from day one. This is a unique chance to join a supportive, child-focused team providing short-term therapeutic assessments for children and young people.
What you'll be doing:
This isn't a desk job. You'll be:
- Exploring forests, beaches and local attractions
- Playing football, swimming, cycling and gaming with the young people
- Cooking meals together and teaching life skills
- Taking young people on days out and creating positive memories
- Building trusting relationships through meaningful conversation
- Supporting education, routines and independence
- Helping children manage emotions using therapeutic approaches
- Producing quality records and contributing to professional assessments
- Working closely with families, social workers, education and health professionals
What you'll need:
- Experience in children's residential care (essential for Senior level)
- Willingness to work towards, or already hold, a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and sleep-ins
- Full UK driving licence preferred
- A genuine passion for helping children thrive
