Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced sound Bar Person to join our vibrant little Bar. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in serving drinks, enjoys taking care of customers. This role offers an opportunity to utilise your expertise in a lively environment, ensuring guests enjoy a memorable experience. you we become part a strong team with Myrtle Restaurant which is right beside the bar. We are very proud of how well the teams get along and enjoy the staff nights together. Anna Haugh is the Head chef and is very much part of driving the bar forward. We are looking for people who see a future in hospitality.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, beers, wines, and soft drinks, in accordance with company standards.
- Take orders efficiently and accurately while providing friendly and attentive service.
- Ensure the bar area is clean, organised, and fully stocked at all times.
- Maintain compliance with food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service policies.
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately, balancing tills at the end of shifts.
- Engage with customers to promote a positive environment and encourage repeat visits.
- Assist in setting up events or special occasions as required.
- Follow all health and safety procedures diligently to ensure a safe working environment.
Skills
- Proven experience working in hospitality or restaurant environments, particularly as a bar person.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service.
- Excellent serving skills with the ability to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy periods.
- Good organisational skills to keep the bar area tidy and well-stocked.
- Basic maths skills for handling payments accurately.
- Effective time management to prioritise tasks during peak hours.
- Friendly personality with excellent communication skills and a welcoming demeanour.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining high standards of service.
