Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling cracks, and applying primers to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other finishes with precision and attention to detail.
- Interpret project specifications and work closely with clients or project managers to achieve desired results.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by managing waste materials and adhering to safety protocols.
- Use a variety of tools and equipment efficiently, including brushes, rollers, spray guns, scaffolding, and ladders.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients to provide updates on progress or address any concerns promptly.
- Complete projects within specified timeframes while maintaining high standards of quality and craftsmanship.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction painting or decorating roles with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Knowledge of different painting techniques, wallpaper installation, and surface preparation methods.
- Ability to read technical drawings and interpret project specifications accurately.
- Valid driving license preferred to facilitate transportation between sites.
- Excellent communication skills in English to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations relevant to construction sites is essential.
