Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Educator to join our team, working in our under 3's Unit. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This position requires a commitment to providing high-quality care and education in line with early years frameworks.
Duties
- Plan and implement engaging educational activities that cater to the developmental needs of children aged 0-3 years.
- Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all children.
- Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records of their development.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing updates on their child's progress and addressing any concerns.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the nursery and adherence to policies and procedures.
- Lead by example, demonstrating best practices in childcare and early education.
- Manage daily routines, including meal times, play sessions, and rest periods, ensuring that all children are cared for appropriately.
Qualification essential: Full and relevant and equivalent to Early Years Childcare and Education Level 3. Please do not apply if you do not have a this qualification
Skills
- Strong background in childcare with experience working with babies in a nursery or educational setting.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Leadership qualities to inspire and guide other staff members while managing classroom dynamics.
- Ability to drive initiatives that enhance children's learning experiences through creative play and structured activities.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and frameworks is essential.
- Strong organisational skills to manage daily tasks efficiently while maintaining a focus on children's needs.
