We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative to join our warehouse logistics team at our Production Centre. You will be responsible for handling goods in a warehouse setting, ensuring accurate receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching of stock. This role plays a vital part in maintaining the smooth operation of our supply chain and delivering excellent service to our customers.
Primary responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and process incoming stock and materials.
- Pick and pack orders accurately for delivery or pickup.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and report discrepancies.
- Operate warehouse equipment (pallet pump trucks).
- Ensure products are stored in the correct locations and safely stacked.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Follow all company policies and health and safety guidelines.
- Assist with stock takes and cycle counts.
- Work as part of a team to meet deadlines and performance targets.
A successful applicant should have:
- Previous warehouse or logistics experience preferred (but not essential).
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, and receipting processes.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to lift, move and count physical inventory when needed.
- High level of confidence using IT, including Office, stock management software and a warehouse management system (full training provided on internal systems).
- Applicants should be comfortable working at height and able to lift/manoeuvre boxes and pallets that can be heavy safely.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
