APG is the world's leading airline representation company, operating in over 100 countries and representing more than 200 airlines worldwide. As we continue to grow, we're looking for an ambitious, commercially minded Airline Key Account Manager to join our dynamic UK team.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives on developing partnerships, growing brands, and making a tangible impact within the UK travel industry. Reporting to the General Manager, you'll play a key role in representing an international airline portfolio and driving commercial success across the market.
The Opportunity
As an Airline Key Account Manager, you'll be responsible for developing and strengthening relationships across the UK travel trade, identifying new business opportunities, and delivering sales growth through strategic account management.
You'll enjoy significant autonomy, working closely with airline partners, travel agencies, tour operators, and industry stakeholders while being supported by APG's experienced UK team.
No two days are the same — one day you may be presenting to key travel partners, the next attending industry events, launching marketing initiatives, or collaborating with airline headquarters on exciting new commercial opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and strengthen relationships with travel trade partners across the UK.
- Drive passenger sales growth through targeted sales and market segmentation strategies.
- Implement commercial incentive agreements with travel agencies, tour operators, and corporate accounts.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to increase market share and revenue.
- Represent your airline portfolio at meetings, trade shows, networking events, and industry functions.
- Build strong partnerships with senior decision-makers and key travel industry stakeholders as well as front counter sales teams
- Collaborate with airline headquarters and the rest of the UK team to deliver initiatives that support the UK market.
- Work alongside our marketing team to create engaging campaigns, social media activity, and promotional initiatives that raise brand awareness and drive sales.
About You
We're looking for someone who is naturally proactive, enjoys building relationships, and is motivated by commercial success.
You will ideally have:
- A minimum of 2 years' commercial sales experience within an airline or travel agency/Tour Operator
- A proven track record of developing business relationships and delivering sales growth.
- Existing contacts within the UK travel trade (desirable but not essential).
- Excellent communication, presentation skills.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently.
- A collaborative mindset, commercial awareness, and a creative approach to business development.
- A genuine passion for travel and aviation.
