Boomerang Healthcare is currently recruiting Care Assistants to support people in their own homes across Birtley and Gateshead. We welcome both walkers and drivers, and no previous care experience is necessary. If you have a caring nature, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn, we'll provide all the training you need to succeed.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Care Assistant, you'll help people remain independent, comfortable, and safe in their own homes by:
- Supporting with personal care, including washing and dressing
- Assisting with meals and hydration
- Providing medication prompts
- Offering companionship and emotional support
- Encouraging independence and confidence
- Helping people stay connected to their community and daily routines
Every visit is an opportunity to make someone's day a little brighter.

Walkers and drivers are both welcome to apply. Drivers are beneficial but not essential for these rounds.
