Responsibilities
- Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and well-being
- Support patients with medication administration following prescribed schedules and safety protocols
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
- Engage with residents through meaningful conversation, behavioral management, and companionship to foster emotional health
- Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, or those receiving hospice care, ensuring comfort and safety
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Support transportation needs by driving clients to appointments or activities when required
- Implement first aid procedures promptly in case of emergencies, ensuring immediate care until professional help arrives
Experience
- Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home care environments is highly preferred
- Demonstrated patient care skills with a focus on senior care and dementia management
- Knowledge of medication administration, behavior management techniques, and first aid procedures
- Experience providing hospice or Alzheimer’s care is advantageous
- Ability to handle physical tasks such as heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Familiarity with meal preparation tailored to specific dietary restrictions or health conditions
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record for transportation responsibilities
- Care is essential due to the nature of work travel mileage included.
