Overview
FoodCycle is looking for volunteers (unpaid) to collect the surplus food for FoodCycle Leeds.
We are FoodCycle, and our vision is to make food poverty, loneliness and food waste a thing of the past for every community. With community dining, week in, week out we feed the hungry and give company to the lonely in our communities; providing delicious meals and great conversation, and using food which would otherwise go to waste.
We are looking for Drivers: to collect the surplus food (from Fareshare LS11 5JJ) and drop it off at the venue before the meal in the morning (between 9am-12pm). Usually takes an hour and will involve lifting and carrying.
We are able to pay mileage expenses for your round trip from home and back again at 45p per mile, up to a total £15.
Tuesday drop off = Leeds Seacroft at Chapel FM Centre LS14 6JB
Thursday drop off = Leeds Harehills at St Aidan's Church LS8 5QD
