We're looking for an experienced Brunch Chef to join our busy independent kitchen at CAVO in York.
Brunch is at the heart of what we do, and we're looking for someone who can confidently deliver high-quality food in a fast-paced environment. You'll be joining a friendly, hardworking team with genuine opportunities to grow as the business continues to develop.
This role offers 20–30 hours per week, with daytime shifts typically between 9:00am and 3:00pm. Hours will vary depending on business needs, with weekend availability essential. There is also the opportunity to pick up additional hours through evening service and private events.
What you'll be doing
- Preparing and cooking our brunch menu to a consistently high standard.
- Running your section confidently during busy services.
- Working efficiently under pressure while maintaining excellent presentation.
- Assisting with food preparation, stock rotation and kitchen organisation.
- Maintaining excellent food hygiene and health & safety standards.
What we're looking for
- A minimum of 2 years' experience as a chef in a busy commercial kitchen.
- Previous brunch or breakfast experience is highly desirable.
- Confident working independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, organised and able to thrive during busy services.
- A genuine passion for producing great food.
