Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced installer, ideally with a background in sash window renovation to join our Scotland team. The successful candidate should have hands-on experience with all aspects of sash window repair and restoration, including box frame repairs, sash removal and refitting, reglazing, and balancing. However, full training can be provided for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Repair and restore traditional box frames and sashes, ensuring a high standard of craftsmanship
- Remove and refit sashes, incorporating our draught-proofing system and ensuring proper alignment and functionality
- Reglaze windows and carry out necessary repairs to glazing and glazing bars
- Weigh and balance sashes to ensure smooth operation and correct functionality
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health and safety guidelines and Ventrolla’s standards of quality
- Provide excellent customer service, communicating effectively with clients and the team throughout projects
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Experience in sash window renovation, including the repair of box frames, sash removal and refitting, reglazing, and weight and balance
- Knowledge of traditional sash window construction and repair techniques
- Excellent attention to detail and a high standard of work
- Full, UK driving license
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work on varied and challenging projects
Desirable:
- Experience working with heritage properties
- Relevant qualifications in joinery or carpentry
Location: Office & Workshop based in LOCKERBIE – Working throughout Scotland, with occasional work in Carlisle
Salary: Dependant on experience (to be discussed at interview)
