Senior Support Worker
NVQ 2/3 Minimum plus senior experience

We are looking for a Senior Support Worker to work with adults in the Accrington/East Lancs area in their own supported tenancies. Working one to one and part of a team, you will support adults with substance misuse, mental health complexities and a criminal background. In addition, you will mentor some of the team on site, as well as work from an office based in Accrington when needed- the role is split!

On shift, will work with the same clients each week to build up a relationship, and in turn will support them with day to day activities, accessing the local community, and helping others. You will mentor support workers, monitor care plans and ensure each adult is having their needs met.
The role is full time, a mix of 9am-5pm or 5pm-11pm plus a sleep dependant on whether you are in office or on shift. Sleeps are paid additionally at £67 per sleep, and there is an expectation to do one, max two per week. You get one in every two weekends completely off.
Duties
- Assist with daily routines and behavioural management for individuals
- Work one to one and sometimes as a team on group activities
- Administer medication following prescribed protocols, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to safety standards.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and review personalised care plans.
- Rota management with support workers and staff management.
- Maintain accurate records of interventions, behaviours, and progress in compliance with organisational policies.
- Ensure a safe environment by adhering to health and safety regulations and safeguarding procedures.
Qualifications
- Minimum one year as a senior support worker is essential, as this role involves some management responsibilities.
- Driver with access to own vehicle is essential.
- NVQ 2 Health and Social Care is essential.
