Key Responsibilities and Attributes:
- Independently manage a full caseload of private family law matters.
- Provide expert advice and assistance in:
- Financial remedy cases, including division of matrimonial assets, property, pensions, and maintenance.
- Divorce and separation proceedings
- Private children matters, including Child Arrangements Orders, Prohibited Steps, and Specific Issue Orders.
- Domestic abuse matters, including Non-Molestation and Occupation Orders.
- Draft applications, statements, consent orders, and other court documents with precision.
- Prepare cases for hearings and liaise with counsel and clients throughout proceedings.
- Provide support and guidance to junior staff when appropriate.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of family law legislation and procedure.
Candidate Profile:
- Minimum 3–4 years of recent, hands-on experience in family law.
- Proven track record in independently managing financial remedy cases (Clean Break and Court Proceedings)
- Highly organised and capable of managing a fast-paced workload with minimal supervision.
- Strong drafting and advocacy skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and client-care abilities.
