Hours are 8AM-6PM, Monday to Friday. No weekends, out of hours or bank holidays. We see around 8 clients per day. We do not strictly ‘time’ our appointments to accommodate for stressed and anxious patients, as well as give the clinical team time to fully work up cases and communicate effectively and thoroughly with clients. The role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your veterinary skills in a mobile setting. The position is suitable for those seeking flexible locum work to fit around other commitments.
Responsibilities

- Educate pet owners on health care, medication administration, and dietary requirements
- Maintain accurate patient records in accordance with practice protocols
- Support reception staff with client communication and appointment scheduling when required
- Drive the veterinary van (manual transmission). We service Newcastle upon Tyne and the surrounding areas. Most of our clients (99%) live outside of city centre/most visits are in the surrounding residential areas.
Experience
- Proven veterinary experience as a Registered Veterinary Nurse or equivalent qualification recognised within the UK veterinary sector
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a mobile setting.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a compassionate approach towards clients and colleagues
